Choosing the Right Modes

Datalus offers multiple different solutions for which platform to both generate and store synthetic data. AWS and local strategies are currently supported at this time. While the local strategies (Database and Local Docker mode, respectively) allow for flexibilty on where you run your Datalus instance, they fail to offer the kind of scalability, performance, and security that the AWS modes support. For that reason, we generally recommend that you use the AWS storage and container modes when running this in production and/or when running untrusted code. The following sections will go over setting up your Datalus instance with whatever mode you choose.
